2017 - Here We Go - 2 Days and Counting

It is hard to believe we are preparing to take another trip.  When we started this 6 years ago we had hoped we would be able to continue taking these trips but we also were trying to be realistic and knew that we were 'getting older' and the likelihood of doing it long term was slim to none. But here we go again......

We are looking forward to getting away from the 110+ temps that Phoenix manages to get every year at this time.  Our plans are to leave this Wednesday (the day after the 4th of July) and hope to be home mid-September. (we're leaving later because we've noticed that September seems to be hotter than June (although this June we hit 120+ temps for a couple days).  Our plans are to travel north to Idaho (maybe some genealogy connections) and then across to Minnesota (where we will stay with my sister and her husband for a couple weeks).  We will be having a 'mini-family-reunion' as my brother's daughter Wendy will be in the area too as well as my younger sister's daughter Tracie.  After they all leave the 4 of us (Martha & Gerry and Howard and moi) will take a 2 day trip to Birnidji, MN where I'm hoping to dig up some family connections from way back.

We'll then go back to Martha's and start the remainder of our travels (some but not all include Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, and California)

Watch for daily posts - but we've found from past experience that the daily posts will turn into every other day and sometimes once a week posts.  Any which way I'll be posting as often as possible, keeping you up to date on our travels.
